Dr. James R. Galvin, DVM

Dr. Galvin is a Toledo native. He graduated from Bowsher High School in 1967 followed by undergraduate work at the University of Toledo before transferring to Ohio State University in 1969. Dr. Galvin graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. After graduation, Dr. Galvin practiced veterinary medicine in Detroit and Cleveland before returning to Toledo and purchasing West Toledo Animal Hospital in 1977.

After 34 years, Dr. Galvin still loves the practice of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in surgery. He is also making plans to establish a Big Cat hospital and sanctuary in Ohio to allow him to continue using his skills and expertise on endangered species of big cats.

Dr. Galvin and his wife, Becky, reside in Toledo. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
